WordPress.com

Here’s a question for WordPress users. Because the amount of spam in the comments is increasing by the week, I activated the Akismet plugin this morning. It required an API-key, which required registration at Wordpress.com. I registered, have the API-key, Akismet is working fine, but — I now apparently also have a blog at Wordpress.com: http://earmarks.wordpress.com/.
I don’t really need another blog… Does a Wordpress.com blog automatically come with registration, or is there something I can do to make the doppelgänger go away?

I think you’re stuck with it. It seems a slightly odd way of setting it up, but I’m not too bothered by it. (And you never know, crimenotes.wordpress.com might come in useful some time.) Maybe you could just leave it with the single post with a link to this site in case anyone stumbles on it.
On the bright side, Akismet really does zap that spam!
Haha, I love crimenotes already, especially the blood-red wallpaper! And the threatening tone of that single post — I can’t wait till it comes alive!
