This is a visualisation of the structure of Earmarks in Early Modern Culture. It is not a network analysis — it shows the tags used in the site’s html structure. An explanation of the different colours used can be found below the picture.
The graph-applet is an invention of the Swiss blog aharef. You can see the applet build the image while you wait. The finished product is not static; its twigs move about slightly, as if it is a flower in a gentle breeze. This post on the blog shows graphs of google, apple, cnn, and more. I think they are all works of art. Here is where you can produce your own graph!






It is pretty. I’m not altogether sure how better off one is for seeing it. Mine has enough violet that it looks like a womens’ pensioner knitting pattern.
